TV Tuesday # 36 – Endives: The Perfect Grain Free Holiday Cracker?

I have some sad news.

Today is the last post on quick, easy and healthy holiday appys. I hope that over the course of the month you have gotten some good ideas on how to make your holiday entertaining not only a little healthier but also a little easier. For some holiday appy ideas, check out this and these videos.

Out of all the ideas we’ve shared, I find this one to be the easiest and most flexible. I mean you can fill endives with just about anything.

If you’re at a loss for ideas, I’ll share 4 of my favorites with you in this video that not only take minutes to assemble, but will have your grain free or gluten free guests happy to not be surrounded by crackers, crostinis and baguette!

Since next Tuesday is Christmas and the following Tuesday is New Years, we’ll see you for our next episode of TV Tuesday on January the 8th. We’ll still post on our regular Sunday and Thursday so there will still be some yummies entering your inbox.

    they were demoing endive spread with a creamy blue cheese, and topped with candied pecans and a dash oh honey at my store the other day….amazing!!

    It’s so true… appetizers tend to revolve around grains and as much as I adore crostini (and bread generally), they don’t occupy much space in my present day diet. The endive is a beautiful foundation – thank you for the reminder of your beet slaw – love that kind of thing too… you can go to town without doing any damage ;-). Wonderful selection of ideas for topping the endives. So pretty and colourful too!

    Such a great idea! I need to get some of these. I’ve seen lettuce leaves that were intended for this sort of thing. It just didn’t seem natural enough to me :) I like your idea better! I was just checking out your about page. I didn’t know you were Canadian! I am too – in Ontario. I’ve seen your name pop up a lot lately so I knew I had to come and visit. I’m glad I did.
