Keep It Real Thursday – Your Week Is About To Get Much Better

I hope you’re having an amazing week, but, regardless, it’s about to get even better! Here are a few highlights from some wonderful whole food blogs that I swear will have you salivating. I hope you’ll pay them a visit, since these highlights, as you may expect, are only the tip of the iceberg. Drooling is allowed.

Poor and Gluten Free

You’ll love these gluten free scones that Danielle shared last week. She’s been eating them for breakfast for 2 weeks and loving every minute of it. Who wouldn’t want to eat chocolate for breakfast everyday? That’s what I thought you’d say. Eating real doesn’t have to be about not having the good things in life!

Gluten Free Chocolate Carrot Scones

A Whole New Mom

If you suffer from a bunch of allergies, you’ll definitely want to get well acquainted with Adrienne. She has so much information, great recipes, and substitutions for anything allergy related. Her post last week is actually a feature from Lauren from Empowered Sustenance, so you’ll get to meet 2 bloggers in one article. Bonus!

Homemade Whipped Coconut Pudding (aka dairy free whipped cream substitute)

Gluten Free Cat

Heather always has great recipes and her focus is always gluten free, but often raw as well. Who couldn’t  incorporate a little more raw food in their diet? I keep these seeds around for a healthy addition to salads and even a soup garnish or just a healthy snack. I hope you’ll give these a try.

Raw Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

Oatmeal With A Fork

Meet Lauren. You’ll love her casual take on healthy whole foods, that are easy to make and even easier to eat. I would gobble this up for breakfast. With some of that whipped topping from Adrienne and Lauren (above). Anyone with me?

Slow Cooker Blueberry Apple Crisp

Holistic Squid
Another 2 in 1!  At Emily’s blog Holistic Squid (fun name right?) you’ll find not only resources for tasty, delicious food but information on fertility, natural health and nutrition. This Asian Meatball recipe is brought to you by a friend of hers at Monica Ford of Real Food Devotee.

Keep It Real Thursday

1. Introduce yourself, your blog, and what you’re about in the comment section and a small blurb about what you’re sharing. This way people can get to know you a little bit right off the hop and hopefully follow you as well.

2. Be sure to add a link in your post back to this post otherwise the linky tool will give you an error message. Though it was suggested you add a back link to THIS post in YOUR post, it will now be required. Copy and paste the link in the address bar above and add it to your site before trying to link it here. Otherwise the linky tool will give you an error message. If you have any questions about how to do that, just send me an email and I can walk you through it. Thanks everyone for the support and your involvement in Keep It Real Thursdays! This allows your readers to find other posts that may help them on their journey.

3. If you’re sharing recipes, the ingredient list must be comprised of real food only, that means non-processed food items. That being said, we are all in different places on our real food journey, some more advanced than others. I invite all of you to share, no matter where you are on your journey, but I ask you to stay mindful when sharing your recipes that this is a whole (real) food blog. This means, no ingredient lists that include edible oil products (velveeta, frozen whip topping), protein powders, ketchup, white flour, margarine or white and brown sugar.

4. Less of a rule but more a suggestion: Retweet,  Stumble, or Pin this post so EVERYONE gets more exposure and traffic. It’s win-win for everyone.

Don’t have a blog? That’s ok, we’d still love to hear from you. Write your recipes or tips in the comment section so we can get to know you too!

Now it’s your turn to share your whole food recipes and ideas!

Doesn’t that ghost chile sauce sound absolutely out of this world. If I can find some ghost chiles, I’ll be giving it a try.
